FAQ
What do I need to run VidLock?
VidLock requires Windows 98 or higher with Windows Media Player 7.1 installed
to play content. Windows Media Player 9 is required to protect content. A
working Internet connection is needed to play and protect files.
Can't DRM be hacked?
The truth is a DRM protected video can be copied if you work hard enough. A
user with the right software and hardware can grab the video frame by frame
from the video card, and the sound from the sound card as the video plays. Note
though for this to happen the user must have a valid license to play the
content. 99% of your users aren't going to have the setup, the knowledge, or
the patience to do this so think of DRM as a very strong and very good
deterrent.
